Vatican slams Canada and Jon Stewart has a Twist!

No more beating around a burning bush...
... L'Osservatore Romano (The Vatican's paper),writes on the recent passage of Bill C-38 saying is a manifestation of "violent attacks aimed at the natural family -- based on a union between a man and a woman."

This is part of a full on communications strategy of the Catholic Church that has been losing its grip in Europe and in Canada and the Unites States. A survey completed earlier this year indicated that 46% of Canadian Catholics that go to Church regularly supported same-sex marriage.

Pope Benedict XVI said June 6 that the equation of homosexuality with marriage was contributing to the "dissolution of matrimony," and the undermining of the social supports of society.

"I have never heard so much preaching on human rights, on respect for women, on uncared-for children, on the value of democracy, and I have never seen so much trampling upon the family, marriage, women and children," the cardinal said. "This is a hollow discussion that has no values and is based on pure trendy opinions!" ~ Cardinal Juan Luis Cipriani of Lima, Peru, July 4, 2005
