How Many More?
The Liberals promised in their New Era document to maintain Education funding. These were code words for no extra funding. The Government then neogotiated an agreement with Teachers and then told school boards they would have to pay for the additional costs out of exisiting funding.
The result, BC School Boards were forced to find the money, music, art, and sports programs were slashed or eliminated, fees for school programs added, 113 schools were closed and class sizes increased.
