When it comes to the incumbent Liberal candidates in Kamloops, Ruff didn't mince words. "Claude Richmond is getting long in the tooth. Being Speaker I don't know how his image is in the riding, and Kevin is, well, Kevin." The NDP is targeting Krueger, trying to tap into anti-Campbell sentiment with the electorate. He is viewed as too close to Campbell said Ruff. "[Krueger] is seen as vulnerable because of his defense of the premier. "On a scale of one to five, Kevin is a six for sticking up for [Campbell]."
